It is the biggest privilege to do this kind of work and I feel very honoured to sit with my clients and witness tales of utter strength and resilience.

Sitting in the raw, juicy, real, human stuff is my thing and I invite you to join me in that, if it so calls you. My therapeutic approach is very warm, personable and human centred.

You are not your symptoms or condition. You are a human with your strengths and challenges. My work with you is about highlighting habits that are not serving you and energising action that will propel you into the place you truly belong.

You come in as the expert in your life and I join you on your journey of growth as the expert in psychotherapy, and together we find your edge, your patterns, your calling, and what feels like home to you. I work with adult clients over the age of 18, and I have experience in treating a wide variety of mental health conditions. However, you do not need to have a mental illness to see me, you might just be lost or stuck and in need of some guidance or a gentle push.

No problem is too big or too small. It might be tough, but trust me, going inwards and doing the work is worth it. I am not interested in working with clients who are not ready to take self responsibility- if I notice this I will call you out on it.

Yes I can be your guide but ultimately you will be doing the work to change your life. Hi, I am Jotham but feel free to call me JJ. I am a psychologist at The Rosy Room, and I want to welcome you to this great practice.

As a therapist, I consider myself warm and welcoming, and you can expect me to treat you with the dignity and respect that everyone deserves. I will meet you wherever you are in this moment and work with you towards improving your mental health and leading a more fulfilling life. You can expect me to be transparent with you, listen attentively and non-judgementally, work with you towards shared goals that is in your best interest, and always treat you as a person and not a condition.

I am genuinely interested in helping my clients and I continuously strive to improve my clinical skillset to provide the best possible service that I can.

I work with a range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural disorders, but I also work with people simply looking to better manage stress, improve their productivity, improve interpersonal relationships, improve their self-esteem, or maintain healthy psychological functioning.

I also offer psychological assessments available through The Rosy Room. It can be a bit daunting at first choosing which Psychologist to see, and well… Whether to see one at all! However, the moment you make the decision to get support, it starts to get easier. My training is in clinical psychology, and I work with all ages across the lifespan for both therapy and psychological assessment. I particularly enjoy working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults.

I have experience working with anxiety, stress, anger, depression, addiction, trauma, PTSD, grief, childhood behavioural problems, personality disorders, general life stress, bullying, self-esteem, and relationship problems. I also enjoy working with autistic people, ADHD, learning disorders, and intellectual disabilities.

When you meet me, you can expect a warm, gentle, and non-judgemental approach. You will be listened to fully with compassion and understanding. My sole purpose is to meet you where you are, so we can collaborate to bridge the gap between the life you have, and the life you want. Together we will work towards building insight into yourself, your patterns of behaviour and thoughts and use strategies to better meet your ideal self.

If you are seeking therapy for a child, you can expect to be a part of the process and for all parties to be heard. As a foundation for the work we will do together, I draw upon evidence-based therapies including cognitive-behaviour therapy CBT , acceptance and commitment therapy ACT , dialectic behaviour therapy DBT , motivational interviewing, and family intervention. I look forward to meeting you wherever you are in your journey.

I have experience working with clients from across the lifespan with many different backgrounds and presentations. I am currently taking on adult and adolescent clients.

I use a person-centred approach and work collaboratively with my clients to set meaningful goals to enhance their psychological health and well-being.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read about me. I look forward to working with you at The Rosy Room. It means the damage no longer controls your life. My primary therapeutic approach is based on Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. However, incorporate skills based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, such as values and mindfulness. I have experience working with anxiety, stress, anger, depression, trauma, PTSD, childhood behavioural problems, parenting, general life stress, and self-esteem.

I have a particular interest in behavioural medicine including the role of psychological and emotional factors in chronic health problems and the interplay between physical and mental ill-health.

My PhD clin psych thesis focused on exploring the psychological processes which predict and explain health behaviours, particularly focused on maintaining factors such as habit. When people manage a long-term physical health problem e. I have a particular interest working with individuals and couples who are going through relationship and sexual dysfunction such as experiencing low libido sexual desire , adjustment and treatment of erectile dysfunction and ejaculatory problems, as well as general communication and intimacy issues.

There is, naturally, a lot of cross over with my interests in sexual functions and relationships. I similarly work with individuals who have no specific emotional problem but want to focus on thriving at home, at work, or in their interpersonal relationships.

Sometimes clients find it difficult to know exactly what is wrong but recognise that they are not living their best life. I would be happy to discuss and explore how to best help you lead a flourishing and meaningful life. I am a genuine and warm therapist who will meet you wherever you are in your story. I value making meaningful connections with the people I work with. My therapeutic approach is adapted to your needs and goals, drawing upon evidenced based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Schema Therapy from an attachment and developmental framework.

I have experience working with people across the lifespan with a range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural concerns in both community and custodial settings. As well as my private practice, I maintain a role working in the public sector with young people involved in the criminal justice system and their families. Previous Alison Saunders. Call: We will soon be starting a wildlife garden at our school Guard House Primary We will no doubt be able to identify any moths we find are attracted to our grounds by using your web page.

I have a question. What do moths eat? I ask this because I took a Wooly Bear and made an artificial environment for him. He went into his cocoon and came out way too early. I want to know how to keep him alive untill spring, so I can let him loose. I am just getting interested in moths and doing a web search came across your excellent site.

Excellent website! Fantastic site. Is there anyone in my county of Yorkshire who shares my hobby. Does anyone know of a club for Entomology. What a great site - well organised and well-laid out. Must have taken you ages I am using this great site as my digital reference library for my digital photos taken this year of moths in my town. Excellent site!! Beautiful lime hawk moth found in our living room after bringing in some pots from the garden shed. I am not at all knowledgable about moths so this web site was very useful in identifying this one.

Presumably the larva thought it was springtime in our heated house. Is there any point in feeding it what with? I am reluctant to release it outside this frosty morning.
